I’m Mike Senior, and TheMixReview.org is where I analyse commercial music releases from a production perspective, to help artists and producers improve their own recorded results. Since 2011, these critiques have appeared in Sound On Sound magazine’s monthly ‘The Mix Review’ column, but I’ve now decided to channel them into a weekly blog instead. This means I can make the articles more interactive, incorporate in-line audio/video examples, and consolidate hundreds of my critiques (past and present) into an easily searchable archive.
For more information about me, check out my bio page on the Cambridge-MT educational resources site. I also podcast regularly for Project Studio Tea Break, the Cambridge-MT Patrons Podcast, and the Sound On Sound Recording & Mixing Channel. If you’d like to get in touch, you can email me direct on [email protected].
